New court date set for Fort Qu’Appelle man on firearm charges

A new court date has been set for a Fort Qu’Appelle man, arrested on firearm and weapon charges.

26-year-old Paul McKay remains in custody, to return to Regina Provincial Court on Friday (Jan. 20), after being denied bail last Friday (Jan. 13).

On November 19th, Regina City Police conducted a traffic stop, and could see straight-edged weapons in plain view in the back seat.

While searching the man, they discovered a loaded .22 calibre firearm in his front jacket pocket, and a loaded sawed-off shotgun slung around his neck.
