Man accused of carrying a concealed sword back in Swan River Court

A new court date has been set for a Wuskwi Sipihk First Nation man, charged with carrying a concealed weapon and resisting arrest.

In July of 2021, police received a report of a suspicious male, and they located him in Swan River with a large sword under his coat.

A foot pursuit took place, and when making the arrest, one of the officers suffered a broken bone.

44-year-old John Campeau was in Swan River Court yesterday (Wed), where he was remanded in custody to next Tuesday in Dauphin.
