New court date set for Fort Qu’Appelle man facing weapon charges

A new court date has been set for a Fort Qu’Appelle man, arrested on firearm and weapon charges.

26-year-old Paul McKay appeared Friday (Jan. 20), and he remains in custody, to return to Regina Court next Monday (Jan. 30).

On November 19th, Regina City Police conducted a traffic stop, and could see straight-edged weapons in plain view in the back seat.

While searching the man, they discovered a loaded .22 calibre firearm in his front jacket pocket, and a loaded sawed-off shotgun slung around his neck.
