New court date set for Grenfell woman facing drug charges

A Grenfell woman remains in custody after appearing in Regina Court Friday (Jan. 27), on charges stemming from a drug trafficking case in the capital.

On May 11, 2020, Regina Police officers noticed a white GMC truck, with three occupants, driving at a high rate of speed and later found it abandoned in an alley.

Three suspects were taken into custody, and a search inside the vehicle turned up cash and other items associated to drug trafficking as well as baggies with a substance believed to be illegal drugs on one of the suspects.

20-year-old Taryn George faces charges including Possession of Crystal Meth and Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking, and she’ll be back in Regina Court on Wednesday (Feb. 1).
