Another court appearance has been made by a Sioux Valley Dakota First Nation man, charged with First Degree Murder.

20-year-old Ernie Blacksmith was remanded in custody to Brandon on February 27th.

On November 19th, Virden RCMP received a report of a disturbance at home on the Sioux Valley Dakota First Nation.

They found a 30-year-old woman with serious injuries, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
