Polar Vortex leaving Saskatchewan for Eastern Canada

Get ready for another big swing in temperatures later this week.

The high for Yorkton tomorrow (Thurs) is minus 25, with a high on Friday of minus 8.

A major temperature change can bring snow, but that will not happen this time according to Environment Canada meteorologist Terri Lang.

“These weather systems, especially the ones that are coming through this week, it’s hard to squeeze any moisture out of these arctic weather systems,” said Lang.

The Polar Vortex that’s caused extreme cold warnings for the last few days will make its way to Eastern Canada by the weekend, bringing very cold temperatures to Ontario and Quebec.
