An incident on the Sioux Valley Dakota First Nation is under investigation by Manitoba’s Independent Investigation Unit.

On January 21st, the RCMP responded to a rollover on the reserve.

Upon arrival, Mounties were advised by an individual on the scene that a Manitoba First Nations Police Service officer had attended the scene, had an altercation with the individual, then the officer left the scene.

The IIU is looking into the incident and won’t provide further details at this time.
