TeleMiracle is a few weeks away and fundraising efforts are happening all across the province.
Chair of the TeleMiracle Committee, Scott Lamb, says there are fundraising activities going on all year, but February is when it really ramps up.
Last year, the telethon broke its record, raising over $8-million, even at a time when the economic situation in the province had its challenges after the pandemic.
It becomes even more impressive when you consider that Saskatchewan’s population is only around 1.2-million.
It’s a large fundraiser which takes a year to plan.
Lamb notes that along with all that is involved in the show itself, there are also all the people involved with reviewing all the applications for funding and where the money should go.
The main goal is to improve independence and quality of life for Saskatchewan residents.
The 47th annual TeleMiracle is February 25th and 26th at Prairieland Park and on CTV and the TeleMiracle website.
