Students Against Drunk Driving To Receive Additional Funding From SGI

SGI is increasing its support to Students Against Drunk Driving.

The insurance company is providing an additional 85-thousand dollars in annual funding to SADD Saskatchewan, which part of it will go towards a new position specializing in school and community outreach.

The funding will also support existing Saskatchewan chapters in developing and implementing new initiatives to encourage sober driving.

Impaired driving remains the leading cause of collision fatalities in Saskatchewan, with the 19-24 age group having the largest proportion of impaired drivers.
