One person is dead after a two vehicle crash on Highway 1, west of Indian Head.

Last night, Indian Head RCMP responded to the scene, where a westbound semi rolled onto the centre median, before an eastbound semi collided with it.

The driver and sole occupant of the westbound semi, a 50-year-old female from Ontario, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the eastbound semi was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
