Two vacant lots in the City of Melville have been purchased by a local business.

City Council approved the sale of two lots – located on 227 and 231 3rd Avenue – to Bonick’s Automotive for a total of $2-thousand.

One condition attached to the sale is the business – which plans to use the lots for additional compound storage – installs a 6-foot slatted fence around the perimeter of the property before use.

The City had originally listed the lots for $3,125.47 but had struggled to sell them for several years.
