White Bear F.N. man committed for trial on drug charges

A White Bear First Nation man, facing charges stemming from a drug and firearm bust, has been committed to stand trial in Estevan Court of King’s Bench.

24-year-old Jaymes Bigstone faces numerous charges, including Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.

The trial was ordered after his preliminary hearing yesterday (WED) in Carlyle.

In October of 2021, Carlyle RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence on the reserve, where they seized over 36 grams of cocaine, two illegally modified firearms, drug paraphernalia, and cash.
