Following a long career with SaskTel, President and CEO Doug Burnett is retiring at the end of May.
SaskTel’s board of directors will soon begin the search for Burnett’s successor, with the board leading the search.
Since joining the provincial phone company in 1990, as Corporate Counsel, Burnett rose through the company, holding a number of positions, prior to being appointed President and CEO, in 2019.
During his time leading SaskTel, the Crown corporation undertook several major infrastructure projects, including Wireless Saskatchewan, the 5G Network Modernization Program, and the continuing Rural Fibre Initiative.
