Manitoba prepares for spring runoff from the Assiniboine River

Flows from the Shellmouth Dam will be increased over the next few days, in preparaton for the spring runoff from the upper Assiniboine River.

Manitoba says the outflow will be increased to six hundred cubic feet per second tomorrow (SAT).

It will be further increased to seven hundred cubic feet per second on Tuesday.

The final release will raise Assiniboine River water levels by one to two feet between the Shellmouth Dam and Brandon.
