The Manitoba Conservation Officer Service released its latest enforcement report.
In early January, officers from Swan River, Dauphin, Neepawa and Shoal Lake conducted aircraft patrols to find any illegal feeding or attractants promoting nose-to-nose feeding within the chronic wasting disease control zones.
Several spots were observed and later confirmed on the ground by officers. Landowners were notified of the findings and told to remove them.
On January 18th, conservation officers executed a search warrant in Dauphin, following an investigation into images posted online.
On the 25th, officers charged the man with killing a white-tailed deer without a licence, possessing illegally taken wildlife, possessing wildlife without a valid tag attached, and failing to cut-out the correct date of the killing from the game tag. The man’s fines and restitution totaled $3-thousand.
