Inflation slowed in January

Inflation is starting to slow.

Numbers from Statistics Canada show inflation slowed to 5.9 percent in January, down from 6.3 percent in December.

Grocery prices continue to go up. The cost of food basics has gone up 11.4 percent, compared to January of last year.

In Saskatchewan, inflation dropped from 6.7 percent in December, to 6 percent last month.
