New court date for San Clara man accused of hitting Mountie with a vehicle

Another court appearance has been made by a San Clara man, accused of striking a Roblin RCMP officer with his vehicle.

Last July, the Mountie conducted a traffic stop at a campground on Highway 83 in Roblin, in which he informed the driver that the vehicle would be towed, because it wasn’t registered.

The suspect then allegedly entered the vehicle, reversed at a high rate of speed, and hit the officer, before taking off.

31-year-old Matthew Paul will be back in Roblin Court on March 16th.
