Extreme cold warning covers majority of Saskatchewan, all of Manitoba

Bundle up when heading outside.

An extreme cold warning is in effect for much of Saskatchewan and all of Manitoba, as an Arctic ridge of high pressure has settled over the Prairies.

Wind chill values will make it feel like minus 40 or more, but Russ Murley with Precision Weather says that’s as cold as its going to get, as temperatures will warm up to more seasonal levels by Sunday.

Murley also says there isn’t a whole lot of wind associated with the Arctic ridge.
