Longtime Yorkton Resident Gerry Peppler Passes Away

A long time resident of Yorkton passed away over the weekend.

Gerry Peppler died on Saturday evening after a brief battle with cancer. She was 89.

Peppler was described as the Face of Yorkton’s TV Station throughout her 32 year career there, 27 of which she was the morning show host.

Peppler spent countless hours of volunteerism in the city, spending 25 years on the Yorkton Housing Authority board and 15 years as the President of the Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers Association.

She was a Life Member of the Yorkton Chamber of Commerce and received the Queen Elizabeth the Second Platinum Jubilee Medal.
