Approximately $1.5-million in gaming grants distributed to volunteer groups in Saskatchewan

Approximately $1.5-million in provincial government money is being distributed to groups and organizations that raise money through charitable gaming activities.

Those activities include licensed bingos, raffles, breakopen tickets, Texas Hold’em poker, and Monte Carlo.

Several local groups are receiving grant money: Yorkton over $81-hundred; Melville over $98-hundred; Ituna just over $4-thousand; Goodeve over $21-hundred; Foam Lake over $53-thousand; Fort Qu’Appelle over $11-thousand; Wadena over $22-thousand; Rocanville just over $17-thousand; Esterhazy over $63-hundred; Canora over $24-hundred; Balgonie over $26-hundred; Broadview over $22-hundred; and Kamsack over $14-hundred.
