Saskatchewan signs health-care funding deal with Ottawa

Saskatchewan is signing on to the federal health deal.

There is a one time 61 million dollar top up to health care funding. There is also an increase of 111 million dollars per year for the next ten years.

Saskatchewan will have to hit some health targets around reduced wait times for surgery, and making health records digital.

Saskatchewan is the eighth province to sign a deal with Ottawa on health-care funding, a first step to completing the $196-billion, 10-year health-care funding proposal that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made last month.
