The Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Yorkton and area, is getting the word out for the upcoming Bowl for Kids Sake fundraiser.
It’ll be held May 5-7 at the Yorkton Bowl Arena, and Irma Van De Bon-Nicol says the change in dates came after receiving feedback.
“Generally, it used to be held at the end of March, but many people have come back to us and said ‘Before spring is getting too busy’”, Van De Bon-Nicol said. “So let’s kick off the spring with a big pazazz and just have a lot of fun.”
A minimum of 30 dollars in pledges is required for individuals to bowl, or 150 dollars per team. She says there will be guaranteed prizes, as well as 5 grand prizes for the top fundraisers, which will be awarded after the event.

She says Bowl for Kids Sake is an important event for the organization.
“It’s so crucial as far as being able to deliver our mentoring programs thanks to the funds raised, so we’re excited.”
