It’s “Brain Health Awareness Month” in Saskatchewan

The Saskatchewan Brain Injury Association is taking part in Brain Health Awareness Month.

They say in a news release this month will be used to remind people to take care of their brain because “a healthy brain is the key to a happy life.”

They encourage a healthy diet, exercise, and learning new things such as a new language or skill, which is a great way to create new learning pathways in the brain.

Protecting the brain is also important, as the Association says “falls are the leading cause of brain injury, followed by striking or being struck by an object.”
