CUPE Advocating Against The Closure Of Preeceville Group Home

CUPE is campaigning to prevent a group home in Preeceville from closing permanently.

Group Home Number Three in Preeceville is home to people with disabilities with staff providing 24-hour care.

The company operating the home, MacKenzie Society Ventures, announced the home will close at the end of the month, but CUPE claims no reason was given for the decision.

The union in a news release noted they’ve sent letters to Social Services Minister Gene Makowsky and Canora-Pelly MLA Terry Dennis, and encourage community members to do the same.
