Another court appearance has been made by a Brandon man, in connection with the death of a 2-month-old girl on the Sioux Valley Dakota Nation.

32-year-old Kiefer Mecas was remanded in custody for March 20th.

In January of 2016, Virden RCMP received a report of an infant in distress at a home on the reserve, and she later died in hospital.

After a lengthy investigation, Mecas was arrested this January, and charged with Manslaughter.
