Numerous firearms were seized from a home in The Pas, after RCMP responded to a report of an assault in progress, early Tuesday morning.

When officers arrived at the home, located on Hill Place, they noticed multiple firearms were strewn about – some were improperly stored, some were loaded, and one was determined to be stolen from a break-and-enter in The Pas last year.

A search warrant was prepared and executed for the lawful seizure of the firearms, as well as explosives.

Seven individuals – 5 men and 2 women – were arrested, and RCMP say the assault allegation was unsubstantiated. Mounties continue to investigate.
