The Swan Valley Stampeders won their 6th straight on Friday night after defeating the Steinbach Pistons 2-1 in the shootout.

Owen Harris opened the scoring in the late stages of the first period and it would stay like that until 45 seconds into the 3rd period when Langley Kruggel’s point shot beat a screened Kobe Grant to tie it up 1-1.

After overtime solved nothing, the Stampeders got shootout goals from Myles Mason and Josh Danis, while Grant stopped 2 of 3 to secure the two points.

The Vernon, BC product also stopped 33 shots in regulation to earn his 24th win of the season, while Pistons G Dominik Wasik stopped 25 of 26 shots in the SOL.

The Stampeders go right back at it on Saturday night hosting Niverville, while the Pistons wrap up their roadie visiting the OCN Blizzard.
