Manitoba continues to prepare for spring runoff

Manitoba has increased flows from the Shellmouth Dam, in preparation for spring runoff from the upper Assiniboine River.

Yesterday (THURS), outflow was raised to one thousand cubic feet per second.

The release will increase Assiniboine River water levels by one to one and a half feet between the Shellmouth Dam and Brandon.

The province says it will continue to monitor conditions in the upper Assiniboine River, as well as downstream river levels.
