KidsFirst Regional To Receive More Funding

The total investment for KidsFirst Regional programming in Saskatchewan has been increased to 1.2 million dollars for 2022-23, following the announcement of an extra $405,000 in joint federal-provincial funding.

Of that new money, the KidsFirst Regional program in the Yorkton area will get $40,000, to boost local learning initiatives, that focus on child development, health and well-being.

Last year, KidsFirst Regional supported nearly 16,000 parents and young kids in 343 communities across the province.

These programs travel across the province giving kids up to age five the opportunity for unique learning experiences in their own communities, and last year, 8,600 early learning kits and backpacks were distributed in Saskatchewan
