The Saskatchewan High School Regional Basketball championships wrapped up across the province over the weekend and there was a few local schools that qualified for Hoopla 2023 in Prince Albert.
In the 2A Girls, Rocanvalle Rara Avis captured a Provincials berth on home court after a 76-41 victory over Southey in their regional final and they’ll take on Wilkie in their first game of Hoopla.
Meanwhile in Wynyard, the hometown Golden Bears earned a Hoopla berth after defeating Regina Christian 70-57 in the final of their regionals.
The Golden Bears will take on St, Walburg in the Provincial Semi-Final.
On the boys side, the Preeceville Panthers earned a Hoopla berth in the 2A boys category by getting past Paradise Hill 69-38 in their Regional final on home court.
The Panthers take on Legacy Christian Academy in their Provincial Semi-Final.
Finally, the Fort Qu’Appelle Bert Fox Marauders will take on Regina Christian in their first game of their 3A Boys Hoopla event after a 89-63 victory over the Indian Head Broncs in their Regional championship game.
