The City of Melville’s Public Works Department is preparing for the day when spring run-off happens.

Director of Public Works, Andrew Fahlman says they are clearing the catch basins around the City.

He says if they don’t clear them it could lead to water backing up onto people’s driveways or create potholes on roads.

Fahlman encourages people if they see a catch basin that needs to be cleaned up, to contact the Public Works Department.
