The Federal Budget will be released next Tuesday, and it’s no secret what the Conservative Party wants to see happen from the governing Liberal Party.
Tory MP for Yorkton-Melville Cathay Wagantall says they want the Liberals to reign in on spending.
Wagantall also touched on health care.
She took issue with the Liberal government clawing back money from some provinces, including Saskatchewan, not long after signing new healthcare funding agreements.
The reason for it was some provinces were charging patients for services that should have been covered by public funding.
Saskatchewan is one of 8 provinces that has private healthcare options.
Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland has said the budget will include significant investment into healthcare and building a clean economy, while exercising fiscal restraint.
