Dauphin RCMP have not released the names of four people killed in a two-vehicle crash near Gilbert Plains.
The investigation into the collision continues, but Mounties say it occurred at about 10:50 last (WED) night, when they say a northbound vehicle with five people inside, was travelling on Provincial Road 274, when it failed to failed to stop at the junction of Highway 5, and crashed into the trailer of an eastbound semi-unit.
The 18-year-old Dauphin-area man driving the car, along with two 17-year-old Dauphin-area boys in the vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene, while an 18-year-old Carberry woman succumbed to her injuries in hospital.
A 15-year-old girl from the R.M. of Dauphin, who was a passenger in the car, is in hospital with serious injuries, while the 30-year-old Saskatoon man driving the semi was not hurt in the collision.
