Bjorkdale man charged in connection with drug busts has new court date

A new court date has been set for a man arrested in connection with the search of a home in Archerwill.

On March 30th of last year, Mounties seized quantities of cash, several weapons, such as a machete, taser, and an illegally-modified firearm, and drugs including OxyContin and other assorted pills, along with crystal meth, and LSD.

55-year-old Rudi Betthel, of Bjorkdale, also faces similar charges, stemming from the search of a home there earlier in March, and will be back in Saskatoon Court on May 11th, for a bail hearing.

Last month, his co-accused, 39-year-old Holly Schweitzer of Archerwill, was found not guilty of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, but a trial on the remaining drug and weapon charges against her is set for April 13th and 14th, in Wynyard.
