The Manitoba government has selected a new Provincial Court judge for The Pas, appointing Lori Ann Hunter to the bench.
Hunter was called to the bar in 2021, and began her legal career as a Crown attorney with the Manitoba Prosecution Service, working in Grand Rapids, and youth court in The Pas, as well as in circuit court attendance in a number of northern communities.
Hunter is of Metis descent, and has many personal and prefessional ties to northern Manitoba.
She has owned a small business in the community, served on the board of the Aurora House women’s shelter, and been a member of The Pas Chamber of Commerce.
