Expansions of Crime Reduction and Warrant Enforcement Teams are being called an ongoing success by the Saskatchewan government.
In the first two months of 2023, both units have removed 67 guns, 142 grams of meth, 2-thousand 019 grams of cocaine and three grams of fentanyl from Saskatchewan communities.
In addition, the Saskatchewan Trafficking Response Team seized 38 guns, 21.4-grams of meth, 36 grams of cocaine, 42 grams of fentanyl, while also making 20 human trafficking interventions and making 20 criminal charges.
The WEST unit also made 13 arrests, laid 11 criminal charges and seized 10-thousand dollars in cash and property in the first two months of 2023.
