It’s Public Safety Telecommunicators Week in Saskatchewan.
The government of Saskatchewan is recognizing the hard work and dedication 911 call takers, dispatchers and technicians provide to the province.
911 calls are taken by trained professionals in Regina, Saskatoon and Prince Albert, with over 530-thousand 911 calls made in 2022.
The Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency provides monitoring and dispatching services across the province, working with volunteer and professional fire departments, as well as provincial and municipal government ministries and agencies.
