Manitoba’s Hydrologic Forecast Centre is keeping an eye on an incoming system that could affect most of central and western Manitoba.
The weather system could bring 10-40 centimeters of snow to central and western Manitoba basins, affecting the Parkland and Interlake regions.
Manitoba is expecting flows and levels of most major rivers to rise with the storm, including the Red and Assiniboine Rivers.
The Portage Diversion is now in operation minimize the effects of ice jamming on the Assiniboine River and to control river levels east of Portage la Prairie.
