New court date set for Yorkton man facing drug charges

A new court date has been set for a Yorkton man, arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop near Melville.

30-year-old Lyle Pasiechnik made his first court appearance in Melville yesterday (MON), where his matters were adjourned to May 15th.

On March 28th, Melville Mounties noticed a man was unconscious in the driver’s seat of a vehicle parked on the side of Highway 10, just east of the city.

Police located one gram of fentanyl on the driver, and a search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of a half an ounce of fentanyl, an ounce of crystal meth, as well as scales, baggies, and assorted drug paraphernalia.
