A new court date has been set for a Kawacatoose First Nation man, charged with Second Degree Murder in connection with a death on the reserve.

In January, 34-year-old Eric Favel was committed to stand trial in Regina Court of King’s Bench, and he made an appearance there yesterday (TUES), with his next pretrial date set for May 19th.

In November of 2021, Punnichy RCMP responded to a report of an injured male at a Kawacatoose home.

Thomas Dustyhorn was taken to hospital in Saskatoon, where he later died of his injuries.
