New court date set for San Clara man accused of hitting Mountie with vehicle in Roblin

Another court appearance has been made by a San Clara man, accused of striking a Roblin RCMP officer with his vehicle.

31-year-old Matthew Paul will return to Roblin on May 18th.

Last July, an RCMP officer conducted a traffic stop at a campground on Highway 83 in Roblin, in which he told the driver that the vehicle would be towed, because it wasn’t registered.

The suspect then allegedly got into the vehicle, reversed at a high rate of speed, and struck the officer, before leaving the scene.
