Winnipeg Man Charged With RCMP Officer’s Death Back In Court

Another court appearance has been made by one of two Winnipeg residents, charged in connection with the death of an Indian Head RCMP officer.

On June 12th, 2021 in Wolseley, Constable Shelby Patton stopped a truck that had reportedly been stolen from Manitoba, and while Patton was out of his vehicle, the truck allegedly ran him over.

43-year-old Alphonse Traverse, will stand trial for First Degree Murder next March in Regina Court of King’s Bench, where he will make his next pretrial appearance on May 19th.

The other person charged, 44-year-old Marlene Pagee, will make her next appearance in Regina Provincial Court next Tuesday, charged with Accessory After the Fact to Murder.
