The province’s Ministry of Education has reported has reported three losses of public money in Saskatchewan school divisions within the second quarter of the 2022-23 fiscal year.
Two of those losses occurred within our listening area, with one in the Horizon School Division and one in the Good Spirit School Division.
In February, $3,043 loss was noted, after fuel was taken from school vehicle school tanks in Punnichy and Ituna.
In that case, the theft was reported to Mounties, along with the school division’s insurance provider, though at this point, it’s not known if insurance will cover the loss of the fuel.
Meanwhile, a laptop, valued at $1,200 was stolen in January from a hotel, while a Good Spirit School Division employee was travelling.
