New court date set for Standing Buffalo F.N. man charged with Attempted Murder

A man charged with Attempted Murder following a serious assault on the Standing Buffalo First Nation, has a new court date.

Over the past two weeks, 24-year-old Christopher Maple of the Standing Buffalo First Nation, stood trial-by-judge in Regina Court of King’s Bench, and he will be back in court on Friday (May 12), when a date will be set for closing arguments.

On June 22, 2021 Fort Qu’Appelle RCMP responded to a report of an injured woman at a home on the reserve.

She was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
