It is Emergency Preparedness Week in Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

As a result, both provinces will be testing their emergency alert systems.

A separate emergency test message will be issued for each province on Wednesday at around 1:55pm local time.

Meanwhile, residents are encouraged to use the week to make an emergency plan and have a kit that can sustain you for 72 hours in case of an emergency.
