Environment Canada issued a tornado warning for the RM of Moosomin and the RM of Ellice-Archie in Manitoba.
Meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm about 10km south of Welwyn moving east at 30km/hr that is capable of producing a tornado.
Damaging winds, large hail and intense rainfall is also possible with the storm.
As this is a potentially life-threatening situation, anyone in the path of the storm is advised to take cover immediately, by going to a room on the lowest floor, away from any outer walls or windows.
