Saskatchewan Looks To Expand Apprenticeship Training Seats

1.5-million dollars is being invested by the government of Saskatchewan to increase apprenticeship training seats in the province.

The province is hoping to expand the number of seats to 4-thousand 450.

The funding will allow training institutions to expand skills training programs, increase apprenticeship intake, and grow sector capacity.

Since the 2007/2008 fiscal year, provincial funding for apprenticeship training has increased by more than 71-percent to roughly 21.4-million dollars.
