A 49-year-old Dauphin man is dead, following a collision involving a motorcycle late yesterday, on Highway 482.
The incident occurred around 4:15 yesterday afternoon, when Russell RCMP say a group of four motorcyclists were heading east on Highway 482, about ten kilometres west of Highway 83 near the Shellmouth Dam, when one of the bikes hit some loose gravel, and collided with a guardrail, throwing the driver from his bike.
The rider, whose name has not been released, was taken to hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries.
Mounties continue to investigate, but believe that alcohol and speed weren’t factors in the crash.
