The City of Melville announced on their Facebook page last week that former Mayor and City councilor Mike Fisher passed away Friday at the age of 76.

Current Melville mayor Walter Streelasky says that Fisher was a very good representative of the community and will surely be missed.

Fisher served as the mayor of Melville for 9 years & multiple years on council and at time of his passing was the Vice Chair of The Painted Hand Community Development Corporation.

He’s survived by his wife Sandra, three children and 8 grandchildren
