Piapot F.N. woman convicted in fatal vehicle-pedestrian collision has new sentencing date

A new court date has been set for a Piapot First Nation woman, convicted of three charges related to a fatal collision on the reserve.

Southey RCMP were called to a home in August of 2019, where a woman acknowleged that she had hit the victim with her vehicle, in the driveway.

The deceased was identified as 33-year-old Nolan Sugar, who was pronounced dead, at a Regina hospital.

47-year-old Leah Pratt was found guilty in October of last year, and she will return to Regina Court of King’s Bench for sentencing, on June 21st.
